Send your Skin for a Detox*

Christmas is well and truly over, New Year has come and gone, and I've been left with less than perfect skin. I'm not one to shy away from food over the holiday period because, well, I LOVE ALL THE FOOD! I'll be honest my skincare routine over Christmas wasn't as good as it could be as I was rather busy. I'm not too annoyed that my skin is playing up because I take 100% of the responsibility, but I have been trying to put it right with the PeachyFox Dead Sea Mud mask*.

I have a lot of facemasks in my collection, and many of them claim to clear up your skin, but I often find once you use a certain product enough your skin almost gets used to it. For this reason I tend to switch up my skin clearing products. This new year the PeachyFox mask got the get go. It claimed to make skin more supple, clear skin by preventing breakouts and make my skin look younger. I always question when products claim to make you look younger because my skin is that of an 18 year old, and an 18 year old who gets mistaken as 14 year old. And also 18 year old skin that often has a lengthly skincare routine. In all honesty, I don't want my skin to look any younger at the moment.

Anyway, the mask itself is pretty good value considering you get a large tub (100ml) for only £14.99. It's also available on Amazon Prime, so you could have it tomorrow if you wanted. (Unless you're like me and your Prime membership has run out.) It smells a bit like toothpaste and a bit like lavender, which isn't unpleasant, I do like fruitier smells but I'll survive - if it does what it says it will at least! I vary how I use this, if I am short on time I will dot it on each of my blemishes, and take it off before I leave. If I have longer then I will apply a nice thin layer all over my face, sit down, stick Netflix on and relax, letting it work its magic.

As it has jojoba oil in it, when I take it off my skin doesn't feel super dry and tight like it does with other clay masks. I still have to moisturise afterwards, but that's just basic skincare when you have dry skin. Would I say it made my skin look younger? Probably not, but like I said it's not a concern I have at the moment. It did help with blemishes though, which is my main concern, most of the year to be honest.

For the price I would definitely give it a go. It's cheaper than my usual GlamGlow SuperMud and does a similar job. It might not soak up the oils quite as much but it helps problem skin, and after the festive period, that's what I needed it to do. I think I will keep this in my routine and switch between this and SuperMud so my skin doesn't get to used to either.
